Beelman Truck Co. is actively seeking experienced dispatchers to join our growing team in our corporate office. Beelman Truck Co. has provided dependable, reliable service since 1906. With over 800 power units and more than 75 million miles last year, it is no surprise that Beelman Truck Co. is number 1 in the dry bulk business. Previous Bulk Commodity or Construction experience is preferred, but not necessary.

Description:

Responsible for the movement of freight, utilization of drivers, and the deployment of available equipment to maximize utilization and productivity while ensuring prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers.

Principal Responsibilities

• Create and maximize capacity by ensuring productive use of all assets, equipment and drivers.
• Ensure maximum productivity by achieving or exceeding Company-established goals.
• Assign loads to drivers based on optimum routes, equipment availability and driver location.
• Dispatch drivers and equipment to ensure efficient utilization and minimum delay time.
• Maintain communication and ensure drivers have adequate knowledge and resources to accomplish assigned duties.
• Administers and supports safety to ensure a safe work place and to be in compliance with DOT regulations and multi-state laws.
• Utilize independent judgment and effectively manage work assignments within the department.
• Coordinates equipment repair with appropriate terminal to reduce mechanical failures and delays.
• Completes necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner to ensure an efficient and steady flow of information.
• Meet committed delivery times while ensuring quality service
• Communicate effectively both in person, electronically and on the phone.
• Ensure route completion via the driver check-in process.
• Courteously interact with customers, as required.
• Report driver performance issues or concerns to appropriate management for resolution.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
