Position Overview

This position is responsible for coordinating assigned branch preventative maintenance (PM) service programs between customers and company territory sales/product support and service personnel to provide prompt PM service and secondary sales opportunities.

Reporting & Supporting Positions:

The position reports to the Service Manager and oversees PM Technicians who are responsible for completing daily, assigned branch preventative maintenance (PM) service.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

· Enter and maintain service contracts

· Contact customers to schedule PM services accordingly

· Open work orders and complete PM reports or PM Technicians

· Keep track of all units on rent for PM service

· Research and establish routes in the most efficient manner to accomplish all PM jobs

· Send email and use dispatching program to update PM Technicians with the next week’s schedule by Fridays, end-of-day

· Forward and file necessary paperwork

· Follow-up on completed PM services to measure customer satisfaction

· Answer phone calls and emails daily

· Assist in month-end closing

Minimum Education, Skills, and Professionalism

· The incumbent must possess and high school diploma (or GED equivalency)

· Must be able to read, write and possess excellent organization and communication skills

· Product knowledge is necessary when communication with customer and co-workers to help identify product needs

· Proven ability to think critically and solve complex problems

· Strong analytical skills, demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details, excellent accuracy and completeness, and adherence to strict deadlines

· Must be able to become familiar with patterns and trends for maintenance intervals to meet customer needs

· Must have the ability to decide the most efficient manner to schedule PM service work for PM Technicians

· High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, database software and/or business systems are necessary to accomplish daily tasks

· Ability to communicate in English (orally and in writing). Diplomacy skills to deal effectively and professionally with obstacles that arise when making contact with visitors, customers, outside vendors and company contacts

· Must be reliable, trustworthy, and an advocate for Darr Equipment

· Ability to establish a professional and friendly relationship with customer

Working Conditions

Hearing and speaking abilities are required to resolve issues with PM technicians when issues arise. The majority of time is spent at a desk, in a comfortable sitting position, in-front of a computer, in a clean office environment with the possibility of speaking with technicians in the shop with the opportunity to move about as needed.
