Dispatcher/Weighmaster Clerk

Benicia - Long Term Temporary - $20-$22/hour

Monday - Monday 8am-8pm, 4 days on & 4 days off, rotating Requires Strong Excel

Do you have experience as a dispatcher/weightmaster clerk for a oil refinery? Our client is looking for a candidate that has the experience to direct and coordinate field activities of workers who route and control flow of oil and petroleum products through pipelines from point of origin to delivery points by performing the following duties. Expedite truck shipments to provide our customers with the fastest possible service. Along with the shipment process to include: Proper Documentation, Product Quality, Product Loading Temperature and the proper transportation of product. Dispatcher/Weighmaster clerks are to project a friendly and courteous attitude both to the truck drivers and to those customers and visitors which they have contact with over the telephone or in person.

This position requires lots of phone work. Will take customer orders via phone and create order sheets see below for detailed description. Great vocab, no slang should be used w/ customers

Other duties may be assigned.

• Dispatch trucks In/Out - Scale in/out all asphalt trucks, prepare Bills of Lading.
• Freight Invoices, Statements - Process and verify invoices for approval and payment.
• Chemical Deliveries (Fresh Caustic / Peroxide) - Responsible for manual weigh tag of chemical purchase, forward paperwork for processing.
• Daily Inventory - Make final corrections and distribute to office personnel.
• Railcars - Daily tracking of all railcars, billing, switch requesting and preparation of all paperwork for railcar release. Daily contact with UP customer service and local yard. Responsible for updating important railcar information.
• Receptionist - Customer service, heavy phones.
• Customer Daily Asphalt Orders - Receives and transcribes daily orders from customers and haulers.
• Dispatch Order Sheet - After all orders are received from customers a spreadsheet in Excel is created for tracking all loads for the next business day.
• Loading, Testing and Retain Instructions - This is prepared Monday through Friday by Quality Control Supervisor/Lab Supervisor. Print and distribute to loaders and operations personnel daily.
• Responsible for all asphalt testing sample tags to be attached to B/L paperwork of loads that leave during dayshift. (Both day & Night Shift)
