Associated Couriers is one of the nation's fastest growing courier companies that focuses a variety of delivery services ranging from delivering medical specimens, hazardous materials, e-commerce, retail logistics, pharmaceuticals, and final mile consumer products.
We are looking to add a new addition as a Full-Time Dispatcher to join our Hazelwood, MO team! The position will manage the timely dispatch, pick up, and delivery of every order AC handles in all markets, while also focusing on our client's needs and AC's industry leading standards for customer satisfaction.
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 12:00pm-9:00pm; Saturday 10:00am-7:00pm
Primary Responsibilities:
- Field inbound customer requests, via phone, or email
- Operate dispatch software to ensure all routes & orders are properly assigned and contain the correct information for the delivery and billing processes
- Manage drivers to meet on-time requirements and efficiency levels
- Notify clients well in advance of potential late deliveries
- Data validation and manipulation in Excel
- Utilize dispatch software daily to transform shipment data into routes & orders
- Communicate with both drivers and supervisors as needed to get delivery information
- Rotate on a holiday schedule to cover office hours and on-call
- Ensure contact phone numbers are input and maintained as well as proper accurate tags for all drivers & supervisors
- Be able to answer any small questions or concerns that drivers or supervisors have with their applications or systems involved in their tasks. Failing that, be able to get accurate information from them to pass along to supervisor and/or IT as needed
- Identify issues that need to be escalated to supervisors and the dispatch teams
- Other duties as assigned by management
- At least 21 years of age
- Has a high school diploma or higher
- Authorized to work in the United States and will not require work authorization or work sponsorship by our company now or in the future
- Ability to work out of our office in Hazelwood, MO
- Strong PC skills required (above average) - Excel and Outlook a must
- Ability to work independently with AC's standards for Customer Satisfaction as a guide
- Organized, attentive to detail, self-starting, patient, curious, solid follow-through, communicative and multi-tasking
- Highly motivated with a desire to be upwardly mobile
