Current Opportunity – OPS/Dispatch Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Become familiar with driver availability and preferences
• Ability to respond in a timely, positive and creative manner to last minute needs from drivers and customers
• Go over job opportunities with drivers and place them in an ideal position
• Handle scheduling needs of clients
• Must be able to multi task and effectively manage time
• Develop relationships with drivers, clients, and internal staff
• Learn, understand, and follow policies and regulations
• Handle incoming telephone calls and inquiries (including after hours calls)

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Transportation/dispatch background
• Previous experience manager and coaching drivers
• Must be self-starter, very organized and detail oriented
• Must have the ability and the flexibility to identify and respond to changes in priorities
• Oral and written communications are clear, concise, organized, and professional
• Must be a proficient communicator and listener
• Must be able to multi task and effectively manage time
• Needs to have excellent relationship-building skills with drivers and clients
• Must be computer literate with high level of proficiency in all Microsoft Applications
• Must have the ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
• Strategic Planning Skills
