Position Overview:

The Director of Talent Acquisition & Talent Management at Mezzetta works with leaders across all functions to source, assess and select internal and external talent for open roles from entry to senior executive levels. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to develop and maintain creative and productive candidate sourcing networks, engage candidates throughout the selection process, while partnering effectively with hiring managers to drive an efficient recruitment process to achieve a successful recruitment outcome.

As the initial point of contact within Mezzetta for external candidates, the Director of Talent Acquisition & Talent Management will be highly effective in engaging candidates across a variety of professional areas and effectively reflect Mezzetta's values and business proposition. In addition, to ensure ongoing competitive advantage in the talent market, this role is also responsible for developing and executing Employer Branding strategies in close partnership with Marketing and the HR team and driving continuous improvement to internal recruitment processes & efficiencies.

The Director of Talent Acquisition & Talent Management reports to the VP, People & Culture. Mezzetta offers hybrid (remote/office) work options and the ability to flex limited office time at either our Larkspur or American Canyon, CA offices.

Major Responsibilities:

Talent Sourcing, Selection & Management:

  • Have a deep understanding of the internal, high-potential talent at Mezzetta and the careers goals for each these individuals
  • Create a clear understanding of internal talent gaps and develop strategies to ensure these gaps are minimized
  • Develop & execute robust recruitment and sourcing strategies through multiple methodologies and technology platforms, with the aim of increasing the internal sourcing and direct sourcing of active and/or passive candidates and reduce reliance on agencies
  • Rationalize and understand all agency spend/contracts, including temp agencies and quality of hires from all selected agency partners
  • Drive expedient and efficient follow-up to both the internal and external candidates and hiring managers
  • Demonstrate creativity, tenacity and thought leadership, making recommendations for internal and external recruitment strategies as needed to drive for the most successful outcomes
  • Coordinate with HR Business Partners on key searches to ensure alignment and appropriate coordination with key stakeholders
  • Talent training. Creation and oversight of onboarding new and newly promoted talent to include Culture (Core Ingredients/Mezzetta Vision/Purpose training, Management Operating System training, 15five/MO's/QP's, weekly pulse meetings (purpose), department specific processes

Offer and Onboarding:

  • Develop the offer for approval using the compensation framework/guidelines provided by Mezzetta and present the offer to the candidate
  • Create and implement and oversight of adherence to our talent acquisition and onboarding process. To ensure clearly understood and followed throughout organization.
  • Ensure the Accountability Chart is accurate for the new hire

Process Management, Tools & Technology:

  • Develop tools and/or drive continuous improvement solutions to better facilitate effective and efficient recruitment, selection and talent development processes
  • Coach & guide interview team on interview techniques & candidate assessments to improve the quality and consistency of hire decisions
  • Leverage the use of Greenhouse ATS to drive process efficiency, reporting and recruitment analytics and ensure interviewers & hiring managers are trained and familiar with the use of the ATS, as needed

Employer Branding & Outreach:

  • Partner with Marketing to develop an effective employer branding presence across various social media channels such as LinkedIn and Glassdoor
  • Regularly develop and refresh social media content based on the agreed to strategy to effectively represent the Mezzetta brand and attract top talent
  • Monitor Mezzetta social media related to the Employer Brand, make recommendations for site improvements and updates; support any related projects to refresh social media messaging and/or images

Reporting, Metrics, & Analytics

  • Establish and maintain talent market expertise including comprehensive view of industry trends and competitors. Provide specific expertise in market insights, talent landscape and an understanding of talent needs
  • Develop scorecards/reporting to keep key stakeholders current regarding existing openings, status and other KPI metrics
  • Maintain the data integrity within ATS/Greenhouse
  • Provide regular and timely recruitment status reports

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of sourcing and recruitment experience in a corporate environment or with a retained search firm
  • Strong knowledge of creative and successful candidate direct sourcing techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to create and/or refine & improve recruitment & selection processes
  • Ability to assess internal talent and partner with leaders to determine development and mobility plans for key individuals
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and competing demands, while keeping stakeholders updated and progress to results as committed
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Strong use of Applicant Tracking Systems – Greenhouse a plus
  • Ability to create reports and analytics to keep stakeholders & executives updated on key performance metrics
  • Ability to effectively communicate across a variety of managerial levels in the organization

Pay Range

$160,000—$175,000 USD
