We are building our Team by adding a Director of Operations.The role is part of our organization based in Essex, CT. We have a team that is enthusiastic, hard-working, and enjoys working with our customers to achieve success by helping them with processing high volume transactions from order to cash. The Director of Operations will lead key initiatives for efficiency, quality, operations management, warehousing, customer service, and supply chain.

Develops, implements, and monitors day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility to goals, progress, efficiencies, and challenges for key initiatives. Identifies and oversees documentation of operational processes from order to cash including but not limited to purchasing, receiving, warehousing, logistics, shipping, and delivery. Develops consistent processes and protocols that are reasonable, replicable, and trackable. Becomes expert in ERP and physical order-to-cash process including CRM, EDI, Website, and e-integrations.

Manages and leads teams in the Warehouse, Customer Service, and Supply Chain. Seeks opportunities to develop personnel, provides guidance and feedback, encourages problem-solving and learning, and promotes teamwork. Provides formalized performance reviews and manages staff. Forward looking forecasting to ensure appropriate staffing and operational needs.

Develops and executes process improvements. Collaborates with teams throughout the organization to identify process areas of improvement. Works cross-functionally to develop strategies and processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Monitors and controls process to ensure long-term adoption, reliability, and validity. Evaluates and implements strategies for optimal customer experience while balancing corporate investment including inventory stocking levels and operations productivity.

Leads quality initiatives. Collaborates with teams throughout the organization to identify process areas of improvement. Works cross-functionally to develop strategies and processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Monitors and controls process to ensure long-term adoption, reliability, and validity. Evaluates and implements strategies for optimal customer experience while balancing corporate investment including inventory stocking levels and operations productivity.

Creates, compiles, and analyzes performance KPIs. Monitors metrics to evaluate patterns, efficiencies, and controls. Works with IT to continually improve operational informational flow throughout the organization.

Collaborates on vendor EDI and E-Commerce projects. Works with the marketing, IT, and operations teams to identify customers and vendors for e-commerce projects including EDI integrations, EDI integration improvements, and other e-commerce opportunities with the goals of better integration, reduction of manual entries, and more automated systems.

Manages facilities and operations budgets with focus on facility projects, capital projects, safety, and improvements.

Maintains excellent knowledge of Company operations including ERP software and related programs used in the sales order and shipment process.

Maintains knowledge of the Company’s products and applications.

**This position required daily commuting to our Essex, CT location**

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

BA or BS in Business, Logistics or Related Field; MBA a plus
5+ years in position involving operations, logistics, and/or warehousing

5+ years of supervisory experience

2+ years of experience in ISO certified organization a plus

Strong knowledge of programs such as Word, Excel, and Project

Strong knowledge of ERP and CRM software; SAP or SAP Business One a plus
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with an attention to detail

Ability to communicate with customers, vendors, and employees via WebEx, Phone, and Email

Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 base and bonus eligible.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
