We are currently hiring a Director of Nursing for our Brush Prairie Inpatient facility working with adolescents. This is a full time position offering competitive pay, benefits and paid time off.
The Nursing Director is responsible for ensuring that all Charge Nurse and Milieu staff provide high quality direct care for our residents, facilitating their recovery through social interaction and traditional therapies. Respect and honor client rights and responsibilities and demonstrate professional boundaries and ethics. Adhere to mandatory abuse reporting laws, HIPPAA requirements, and 42 CFR-Part 2 confidentiality laws. Complete all mandatory training in compliance with ongoing requirements for Daybreak employees within scope of training.
Job Duties:
- Providing management and supervision to Daybreak Nursing Staff
- Overseeing supervision, staffing, and personnel decisions for the milieu and nursing staff
- Working collaboratively with Mental Health Supervisor, Substance Use Disorder Supervisor, and Staff Training and Support in development and implementation of policies and procedures to carry out Daybreak’s mission
- Performing and documenting routine audits of the medication administration record and electronic medical record as it relates to safety and quality
- Providing and/or arranging care for patients with pre-existing long-term medical problems.
- Reviewing new client applications for appropriateness of placement given on-site available resources for medical care and collaborating with the Admissions and Discharge Team
- Coordinating with outside providers including PCPs, specialists, dental, pharmacy, and lab managers to address mutual concerns and follow-up needs when indicated
- Some travel will be required
- Other duties as assigned
This position will be conducted in harmony with Daybreak’s mission and values.
Compensation: Starting at $95,000 annually, depending on experience with a $5,000 signing bonus
Education and/or Experience:
- Preference will be given to work experience in a residential care setting in a facility providing care for mental health services and/or treatment of substance use disorder
- Previous work experience as a Nursing Supervisor or similar leadership experience
- Bachelor's in nursing degree
License and/or Certification
- Current licensure as an RN to practice in the State of Washington
- Current CPR certification
Shift: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
