Director of Nursing

Foltsbrook Center is actively seeking a motivated Director of Nursing for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Herkimer, NY.

Full-time

DUTIES:

• The delivery of quality care and regulatory compliance
• Planning, priority setting, coordination, and evaluation of programs of nursing care, education, and research for the nursing facility
• Management of all nursing personnel and the administrative functions for the nursing department
• Overall management of human, fiscal and material resources
• Demonstrate the organization's commitment to sound ethical business practices
• Accountability for the human resource and outcome management for designated resident populations

Qualifications:

• Current New York RN license required
• DON Experience preferred
• Management experience preferred
• Excellent Communication Skills required
• Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision
• Flexible hours required
• Patient Review Instrument (PRI) certification
• 1+ year of experience as MDS coordinator
• Master's degree in Nursing
• Highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities
• Strong conflict mediation skills
• Excellent communication in a fast-paced work environment across teams on different shifts and different departments
• Highest level of engagement within a team setting to promote a positive work environment
• Promote and embrace the culture of the facility
• Leadership and mentorship skills overseeing nursing and nursing support staff
• Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field
• 5+ year of experience as an RN in a leadership role
• 2+ year of experience as an RN in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting in a leadership role
