Job description

We are looking for a strategic sales and marketing director to head up the sales of group meetings, incentives, conferences and events for a group of hotel brands based in Miami. The role can be remote, but the person must be based in South Florida.

Responsibilities:

• Work with head of sales and marketing to develop and implement the annual budget and sales plan.
• Identify new market opportunities and develop new sales accounts.
• Develop strategies to bring group business to the portfolio of hotels.
• Create a long-term vision for the department.
• Manage leads, sales process, sales promotions and activities, communications, and participate in tradeshows.
• Establish and meet sales goals.
• Work with marketing on implementing programs related to sales.
• International travel to properties and maintain relationships and regular communications with property teams.
• Maintain a strong network of contacts and relationships in the industry, participate in industry organizations events.
• Research and understand industry trends and innovate on new programs and ideas.

Requirements:

• 15+ years' experience in the travel an hospitality business.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• International travel.
• Experience in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events) sales and operations.
• Bilingual in English an Spanish preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Excellent communication both verbal and written.
• Excellent relationship building skills with both clients and internal teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
