Description: What you'll be doing:Another Source’s client, American Behavioral Health Systems, Inc., is recruiting a Director of Marketing and Program Growth to join their team in Spokane, WA. This role will be an on-site opportunity with the flexibility to work remotely on some Fridays.

Internally this Position is _Titled: Director of Business Development

There is a strong preference for this professional to be located in Spokane, WA at their main headquarters, however they are open to someone in the Tumwater, WA area as well. This position is expected to travel ocassionally, mostly local within Washington State.

Salary Range:*
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $120,000.

Through continued assessment, education, and intervention, ABHS staff will diligently address the needs of all clients admitted into our programs.

American Behavioral Health Systems is one of only a few programs in Washington State that offers 3-tiers of treatment: detoxification services for substance use disorders; residential treatment programs for substance dependence and co-occurring disorders; and intensive outpatient/outpatient services for mental health problems, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders.

About the role:*
The Business Development Manager’s primary objective is to develop and maintain business relationships to achieve the Company’s long-term strategic plans. This position will focus on continuous efforts to improve the image of the Company. Primary responsibilities include continuous outreach into the community to provide education, awareness, and develop business relationships with key stakeholders. Key stakeholders may include, but are not limited to, special interest groups, hospitals, private counseling practices, other treatment facilities, employee assistance plan providers, political groups, community organizations, current contractors, or other relevant businesses.

Most of the outreach activities will focus on one key stakeholder group at a time. Priority will be to focus on arranging in person meetings, where possible. Essential verbal and written communication skills are key to achieving success. The ability to read an audience and adapt personal communications to meet other’s preferred styles is essential.

It is expected that the Business Development Manager will have the ability to prepare and present assigned topics to large groups or audiences. This includes preparation and appropriate use of visuals. Presentations are to be captivating, accurate on the subject matter and engaging to the audience.

This position is expected to be a member of various community or special interest groups, as determined by the COO. This involves regular attendance and active participation in meetings. The ability to speak upon behalf of the Company in a positive manner and be vociferous on targeted subject matters, focusing on quality of information shared is a critical skill set. Coordination of meetings and presentations is to be arranged with the direction of the COO.

This position is expected to manage digital communications. This includes but is not limited to managing social media communications, continuous review and updates to the Company website or other written public relations. In addition, provide the executive team assistance with drafted responses to any negative press releases to mitigate damage.

This is a management position which may include the direct supervision of staff. This position will develop and organize the structure of the department to meet business needs. It is expected this position will manage communications with direct reports, provide continued training, coaching, counseling, and performance reviews.

Essential Job Functions:*

  • Represent the Company’s image and work to continuously improve the Company’s reputation in alignment with the long-term strategic plans through various outreach mediums
  • Schedule meetings on a regular basis with key stakeholders to provide education on the Company and services provided
  • Actively engage and attend meetings with various special interest groups
  • Prepare and present subject matter topics to educate audiences, including visual displays/handouts
  • Ability to verbally communicate and engage with audiences, both on an individual level and large audience presentations, focusing on quality of content and image of Company
  • Collaborate information from multiple sources for the executive team to review
  • Travel within Washington is expected, on a regular basis. Specifically targeting the cities services are provided or for special interest groups/political meetings.
  • Respond to the directives of the supervisor and management staff in a professional and cooperative manner.
  • Assure that all patient needs are met with dignity and respect
  • Understands and facilitates federal confidentiality laws, 42 CFR, and protects client confidentiality/anonymity, and assures no information is shared without proper authorization.
  • Compliance and understanding of HIPAA laws
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum* Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in Business Development or similar role with clinical comprehension of ABHS’ services
  • 5 years of experience working in healthcare in a business-related role, preference for Behavioral Health experience.
  • Ability to pass all ABHS prescreening requirements, including but not limited to criminal background check & drug testing.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in public relations, communications, business or related field preferred.
