Responsible for the overall direction and management of the Human Resources functions and staff including but not limited to employment matters, employee relations, training, communications, benefits, performance evaluations, compensation, gaming, disciplinary actions and wardrobe. Maintains compliance with all local, state and federal laws governing employment. Provides education and information to management staff regarding HR programs, policies, procedures and benefits.
** Salary based on experience, starting at $70,000**
Responsible for the overall direction and management of the Human Resources functions and staff including but not limited to employment matters, employee relations, training, communications, benefits, performance evaluations, compensation, gaming, disciplinary actions and wardrobe. Maintains compliance with all local, state and federal laws governing employment. Provides education and information to management staff regarding HR programs, policies, procedures and benefits.
Essential Job Functions:
- Formulate policies and procedures for the Human Resources Department and recommend policies and practices to senior management;
- Develop and administer an effective recruitment program;
- Serve as EEO specialist
- Conduct wage and salary surveys;
- Compensation analysis and implementation;
- Wage and hour compliance;
- Direct, develop, and implement effective employee communication programs through in-house publications and other communication tools;
- Review and monitor written employee performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and other human resources-related matters to identify potential problems and/or issues of concern;
- Administer classification programs, which includes classifying and reclassifying positions, and writing job descriptions;
- Monitors unemployment claims and assists departments with appeals;
- Budget preparation and management;
- Supervision of HR staff, HR programs and work load;
- Audit and oversee maintenance of personnel files;
- Monitor and inform management of legal change/reform;
- Monitor Compulsive gaming program and training;
- Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale;
- Coordinate employee/community events;
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly and welcoming attitude at all times;
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality;
- Other reasonable duties as assigned;
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
