Your passion:
You must have a passion to change the world for Jesus by overseeing all aspects of the operation of the Facilities department and by aligning Facilities strategies and initiatives with Calvary’s overall culture and objectives. As the Director of Facilities, you must have the drive that it takes to be a servant leader to a dynamic team that supports our church. You will oversee a team of department managers and supervisors within facilities management and operations, as well as a group serving through the Calvary House ministry. This position is responsible for the spiritual leadership of the department as well as direction of resources, staff, and facilities. You cast vision for further development of the facilities ministry area, while also being responsible and adhering to the budget. Serve as a liaison between the department and the church administrator’s office, pastors, staff, volunteers, governmental agencies, vendors, the community, and the church body. You are flexible, working with a variety of individuals, on multiple projects, yet is able to focus on the work at hand to carry to completion. Must be able to be multi-task faceted, and have the ability to follow-up in a timely manner.

You will:
- Be responsible for spiritual and professional growth of the Facilities Department as a whole.
- Provide support in the areas of ongoing operations to include: direction, vision and operation of building systems, oversight of vendors and contractors, and facilities administration.
- Oversee physical maintenance and operations of buildings, facilities and building systems.
- Establish relationships with vendors and contractors through the bidding process for goods and/or services, to ensure it aligns with the departmental and the organization’s capital expenditures budget.
- Oversee final selection of qualified vendors and other resources to support facilities and prepare recommendations via presentation for leadership approval.
- Adhere to governmental agency requirements to ensure compliance.
- Provide support for special projects by conducting research, preparing reports, helping find new processes, and further developing the effectiveness of the facilities department.
- Serve as the primary contact person for facilities issues. Assists in problem solving, answering questions, and addressing immediate and long-term issues.
- Adhere to all aspects of Employee Handbook including “Expectations and Work Standards”.

- Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and other construction management essentials.
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, including strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems.
- Strong communicator, influential leader and someone who can relate well with staff, volunteers, vendors and contractors.
- Ability to use computer technology to enhance facility operations.
- Must have an open flexible schedule, able to travel 25% of the time.
- Flexible with good time management skills.
- Ability to keep confidential matters confidential.

What you are required to know:
- Previous facilities management experience is a must.

- This is a full-time (45+ hours/week) salary exempt position.
- You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies.
