Summary
Think Global, Act Local. Support operations to achieve optimal levels of service, quality, and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction. Young Living’s Director of International Operations supports Operations strategy in the responsibility for directing, measuring, optimizing, prioritization, and the profitability impact for all international operations functions. Under the direction of the Executive Director of International Operations, the international operations team is the face of international over 3PL management & optimization, brick & mortar DC/EC footprint, market upsizing or downsizing strategy & execution, new market analysis and strategic development & expansion, international courier delivery systems, regional hub strategy & oversight, and sourcing support to the markets for local sourcing initiatives. This individual is the point of contact for senior management & international operations leaders on international operations programs and strategy. This role will coordinate with region, corporate, and market leadership to propose and communicate strategy to drive results and implement solutions that stabilize & improve business operations.
Essential Functions
- 30% - Oversight for continued management and further development for international regional hubs. This includes all associated rework, planning, fulfillment, tasks, continuous improvement, and personnel managed that are managed with the regional hub facilities.
- 20% - Cost analytics, enhancement programs, and adherence to profitability impact to international P&L from fulfillment & delivery expenses on the income statements and inventory balances on the balance sheets.
- 10% - 3PL continuous improvement and optimization. Identify & implement standardized international DC strategy.
- 10% - Evaluate and define the Operations strategy and technology across the various functions of sourcing, purchasing, demand planning, supply chain, inventory, transportation/logistics, ERP, and 3PL WMS systems; identify and implement tools/KPI and requirements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- 20% Lead team of professionals engaged in the above work. Accountability in the proper functions is needed. Managerial duties including training, performance management, hiring, and disciplinary action. This position is expected to be a leader of leaders.
- 10% - New market strategic developmental and expansion – analyses, proposal mapping, execution.
- Performs other reasonable functions as assigned or requested
Competencies
- Ability to problem solve, maintain customer focus and lead others across multiple functions and multiple geographies and cultures.
- Strong Operations background with a minimum 10+ years of experience in international and/or operations
- Strong ERP background (JDE Enterprise preferably)
- Thorough understanding of Warehousing, WMS systems, and fulfilment processes
- MLM expertise preferred
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations or related fields
- 5+ years supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
- Fluent in English (read/write/speak) and communication skills.
- Strong capability in leading teams direct and indirect to company goals.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, photocopiers, shredders, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. As this position works with international markets, it may additionally require availability for meetings or phone calls outside of normal business hours; to be available as needed but should be minimized where possible.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Operations related field (Master’s Preferred)
Preferred Education and Experience
A master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Operations. Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
