Ricoh Electronics, Inc. (REI) is looking for a Director of Human Resources for its 700-person manufacturing operations in the Lawrenceville/Buford area. Working out of our Lawrenceville facility, the Human Resources Director will lead the HR team in the planning, execution, and evaluation of REI's human resources policies, objectives, and initiatives, ensuring alignment of HR projects and activities with company business plan objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Direct the development and implementation of human resources programs across the organization.
- Develop and implement strategic management objectives and budgets for the human resources function to support achievement of company objectives while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Lead company efforts to maintain industry leading benefits for employees and continued high level of employee satisfaction through talent acquisition and development, utilizing performance evaluation and succession planning.
- Develop, utilize, and provide HR data analytics to guide human resource efforts.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and recommend programs and methods to create and sustain a pool of high caliber talent while controlling labor expense.
- Develop, update, and communicate human resource policies. Ensure company philosophy and objectives are properly reflected in human resource activities.
- Take action to mitigate the risk of employee claims and employment litigation against the company. Manage employee relations issues by evaluating and making decisions on difficult employee issues, including disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Participate and contribute to corporate social responsibility activities.
- Lead, manage, and motivate company efforts for operational excellence and strategic impact as leader of the HR team.
- Coach and advise management in handling human resource matters.
- Take a solution-based approach to resolving issues and implementing change.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) with 10 or more years human resources experience and at minimum of 8 years in a management role. Master's degree preferred. HRCI, SHRM, or similar certifications preferred.
- Must have hands-on experience in various areas of human resource functions (compliance, recruiting, benefits, development, investigations, performance management, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience implementing nuances of employment laws and regulations into company policies and compliance efforts.
- Must have excellent leadership and communication skills; experience working in a leadership level at a multinational corporation is preferred.
- Must possess experience working with executive level management team explaining difficult issues and concepts accurately, efficiently, and effectively.
- Must have human resources management experience in different industries, however, experience in human resources management in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
