Overview:
This position will report to the AVP of Claims Strategy & Planning and will support the Global Claims organization by providing financial planning, budgeting, expense management and providing clarity into allocated and unallocated loss adjustment expense. This role will have direct exposure to the executive leadership team and will collaborate with various leaders across Claims as well as the Corporate Finance, Accounting and Actuarial functions. The right candidate will bring a balance of leadership, technical financial acumen, experience creating clear executive reporting as well as a collaborative and execution focused attitude. AmTrust North America Claims is looking for an experienced claims professional to lead a team responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and executive reporting.
This position will report to the AVP of Claims Strategy & Planning and will support the Global Claims organization by providing financial planning, budgeting, expense management and providing clarity into allocated and unallocated loss adjustment expense. This role will have direct exposure to the executive leadership team and will collaborate with various leaders across Claims as well as the Corporate Finance, Accounting and Actuarial functions. - Lead and develop a team with various stakeholders and responsibilities
- Claims Planning – Collaborate with Corporate Finance and Accounting to analyze and ensure accuracy of financial results, support the budget process for our domestic business’s ALAE (DCC) and ULAE (AOE), and provide consultation to our international business
- Litigation Expense Support – responsible for alignment of internal costs at the claim level as well as tracking and reporting on claims-related KPI’s
- Design and deliver executive-level presentations with actionable insights and recommendations
- Create a cohesive claims story in partnership with the claims leadership team for monthly Claims Committee reviews with the executive leadership team
- Support quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc requests for claims information needed for internal and external audiences
- Continuously improve the existing financial planning and budgeting process including a monthly reporting process to track actual vs. plan
- Support Claims leadership team with ad-hoc requests
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of progressively increasing experience within P&C insurance industry
- Previous experience in executive/board reporting
- 5+ years previous management experience
- Ability to read and write SQL preferred but not required

- Up to 25% travel
