Support Person for Self-Direction Program for Independent well mannered young man who has his own apartment. Take food shopping, to the laundromat & have fun walking, hiking, working out, seeing new places, some help with housekeeping.

The family is the employer along with co-employer AIM Services. Family is in charge of approving your hours & day to day input, scheduling, will help with on the job training, your pay rate, raises and evaluations. AIM Services is in charge of hiring you, getting you certified, setting up fingerprint appointment and paying your salary.

This job offers mileage reimbursement whenever he is in the car with you at .625 cents a mile.

We are looking for 1 special, committed person to work steady, 3 days a week, 4 hrs a day (12 hrs.). Right now it's Monday, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m; Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. & Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Schedule can be modified as long as it becomes consistent and is agreeable to both parties. We are looking for a very responsible & dedicated person who is committed to the job. Looking for consistency, dependability and reliability from you. Serious inquiries only.

Responsibilities:

Assisting individual to promote their independence in their community & at home.

Carry out specific tasks outlined in the individual's service plans & document them.

Provide safe one on one time and support in the home & community.

Communicate with the individual & family and adhere to a schedule agreeable to both you and the individual.

Ability to communicate effectively in both written & oral forms.

Activities would include attending community events, assist with cooking skills, food shopping, promoting healthy lifestyle.

QUALIFICATIONS

Reliable transportation and valid NYS Driver's License and insurance a must.

Must be willing to transport individual in clean, sanitized personal vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed at 65.5 cents a mile as stated above.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Smart Phone or equivalent required.

Must be able to take direction. Training provided by AIM Services and by Family team member.

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
