Advocates is seeking a Mentor (1:1 support staff) to support a young man with a developmental disability. He and his family are looking for a Mentor to ensure he is safe at all times while working on goals both at home and in his community.

Goals include:

• Personal care/hygiene skills
• Communication skills
• Safety awareness skills
• Following dietary guidelines

Seeking someone who is reliable, personable, is able to work independently, and preferably possesses computer skills. Related experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required. Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency. Please respond with resume or summary of experience.

Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. Internet access and a valid email address are required.

Hours and days of work:

5-10 flexible hours per week: 4pm-8pm

Some weekend shifts will be requested.

Candidate will work with supervisor to coordinate schedule for Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday Shifts

Pay rate: $21 per hour
