La Ventana Treatment Programs located in Thousand Oaks is seeking a Client Support Staff / Resident Advisor for our 6 bed Residential Mental Health Facility.

La Ventana has been offering treatment since 2007 and we currently have openings for support staff for our swing shift all days (4:00 pm to 12:30am) and our weekend day shifts (8:00 am to 4:30pm) and weekend swing shift (4:00pm to 12:30pm) and weekend noc shift (12:00 am to 8:30am)

We are Looking for someone with compassion for others and who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of people. We also offer training on working with patients with mental health issues

Duties and responsibilities:

• Supervise, observe and assist clients in milieu both at and away from clinic (outings).
• Maintain a safe, clean client environment.
• Completes charting/record for client contacts. Documents all pertinent observations, and issues in client chart. All documentation is to be completed in a timely manner according to program policy.
• Performs basic milieu/care activities as assigned.
• Supervise and Assist in meal preparation.
• Participates in training, continuing education, and supervisory sessions.
• Attend group, individual, or family sessions as directed.
• Able to eat meals with clients from predetermined menu.
• Performs Medication observation procedures for client self administration of medication
• Testing for drug and alcohol screening
• Crisis intervention and emergency interventions procedures.
• Understand and implement all program policy and procedures within 30 days of employment.
• Perform Disaster Emergency duties per the policies and procedures.
• Drive clients in company vehicles as needed and must have clean driving record to qualify for company’s insurance.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/director.
• Adheres to all Joint Commission and DHCS and CDSS guidelines, as per the policies and procedures governing the facility.
• Maintains a safe and clean client environment
• Performs basic milieu/ care activities as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
