Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • The Digital R&D Data Product Line Manager – MDM and Data Governance Automation is a key member of the Digital R&D Data Products team accountable for developing and delivering on the vision for a set of transversal R&D Data Products that drive the digital journey for our R&D functions.
  • Owns the entire lifecycle of digital products related to Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, Ontology Management, and Data Governance Automation from idea, through to explore, validate, grow, sustain, and eventually retire.
  • Owns the Why, What and When of the in-scope products. Connects business and tech worlds and support business case creation.
  • Key decision maker and accountable to the business for delivering value to customers of the product(s).
  • Conduct customer research, and work with key stakeholders across business and technology to develop and convey product vision.
  • Work with product teams to deliver and sustain the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Effectively communicates Product Line vision and roadmaps across multiple stakeholder groups at different levels (executive, senior/middle management, engineering/scientific teams) within the R&D functions as well as the Digital organization to gain commitment and sponsorship for execution.
  • Works closely with key business stakeholder groups to define the product line vision and roadmaps in alignment with broader organization goals.
  • Be the internal voice of the customer for the product line and work with customers (as well as Product Owners) to constantly understand and communicate their needs and participate in the approval of the proposed solutions.
  • Works closely with the Digital R&D Data Products Portfolio team to define the relative priorities and business value of product investments, defining and promoting a common methodology around product management, estimating delivery and resource requirements, and value measurement/KPI tracking.
  • Works closely with the central Digital Data organization to align on architecture, priorities, technical capability needs and roadmaps, and delivery of product components.
  • Defines and works closely with the appropriate cross-functional team of data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, and other product development team members needed to successfully deliver on the product line vision.
  • Drives adoption of a products-based Digital R&D data organization for the product lines within scope of the position.

Minimum required skills and Education:

  • Bachelor’s in computer science/Engineering or equivalent, Certifications in Product Management/Agile preferred
  • 5+ years in digital Product management
  • 5+ years in Master Data Management
  • Deep understanding of the Life Sciences R&D business processes and data/data applications, specifically as they relate to Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, Ontologies, Standards, and Data Governance.

Minimum preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of Informatica Business 360 or other Cloud-based MDM software
  • Expertise on the Informatica Cloud Data Management (IDMC) platform
  • Knowledge of common pharma R&D standards such as CDISC, IDMP ISO standards, MedDRA coding and data sources such as clinicaltrials.gov, IQVIA onekey, etc.
  • Visionary thinking to define an art-of-the-possible North Star, with the drive and pragmatism necessary to build and execute an MVP-based roadmap pointed towards this North Star.
  • Strong understanding of one or more MDM/RDM and Ontology Management architectures/technologies (Informatica, Reltio, Semarchy, SciBite, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of big data, data engineering, data management, and cloud architectures/technologies (AWS services, Informatica tools, SnowFlake, Databricks, Collibra, etc.)
  • Expertise with data management and data engineering practices, architectures, tools/technologies and delivery management
  • Experience managing or coaching product owners and driving adoption of agile/product-development practices in a large Enterprise setting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Presentation and organizational skills, interpersonal skills to ensure efficient relationship with all stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to communicate and present effectively to senior leaders, cross-functional and cross-organizational teams.
  • Proven ability to lead, collaborate and influence teams without direct authority.

  • Informatica MDM/IDMC
  • AWS/Azure services
  • Big Data architecture and tools (Informatica, Python, R, Databricks, etc.)
  • Software engineering architecture and tools (React/Angular, API development, Python, Javascript, etc.)
