POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking a dedicated and efficient candidate to help with cooking and food preparation for a residential treatment facility. This position involves both preparing food and working with residents - teaching and guiding them in food prep and other light kitchen jobs. Duties will include but are not limited to: food preparation and setting up for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, snacks; providing excellent customer service to residents and staff; cleaning the food preparation and cafeteria areas; monitoring proper food temperature, and other duties as assigned by Supervisor. The ideal candidate is courteous, considerate and professional when communicating with all facility personnel and residents and is able to follow instructions and facility policies and procedures. Salary Range
$24.50 - $26.50 / Hour DOE

HOURS
8 per Day / 5 Days per Week
CATEGORIES OF DUTIES
- Setting-up areas of cafeteria beverages, food items. Desserts, salad bar, fruits and garish, soups, etc.
- Serves hot and cold foods as directed by the Dietary Supervisor.
- Set-up area with proper dishes, glasses, cups, and other eating utensils for meals. Also, makes sure to have all paper supplies on hand.
- Prepares snacks at required times according to facility policy, records temperature of refrigerator and freezer.
- Cleans and sanitizes utensils and food preparation areas after each use.
- Follows posted cleaning schedules utilizing proper sanitation and cleaning methods.
- Practices safety infection control and emergency procedures according to facility policies.
- Attends in-service education and staff meetings as required.
- Is courteous, considerate and cooperative when communicating with all facility personnel and residents.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Dietary Service Supervisor and/or Administration.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Dependable, with previous experience working in quality food production.
