Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and tenants menu selection and serving
• Food preparation
• Tray service
• Dish washing, sanitizing and storage
• Set up for special event dinners/guests and/or food service requisitions
• General cleaning and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to work both individually, and as a team member
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and carry out assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to organize workload
• Able to handle resident contact in a professional manner at all times with respect and knowledge of resident's rights
• Knowledge of basic food preparation methods
• Adaptability and flexibility to work a variety of assigned tasks
• Accurate and neat work with attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to maintain appropriate attendance, health and hygiene
• Experience or training in institutional food services preferred, but not required
