Dietary Aide

At HAMHWE we live our mission to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of our region. The Dietary Aide is an entry level position which performs a variety of food service and dish duties to provide delicious meals to our Tenants, Residents, Patients, and Employees.

Dietary Aide Job Responsibilities:
1. Prepares food trays for general and therapeutic diets
2. Prepares and delivers items as requested by patient care units or patients
3. Maintains tray line in a clean, neat and organizes manner
4. Delivers food carts to patient care units
5. Loads and oversees dishwashers
6. Washes specified items by hand, i.e., pots, pans, knives
7. Disposes of trash and garbage in appropriate manner and as needed
8. Puts clean dishes and utensils away
9. Mops floors as scheduled and as necessary
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Dietary Aide Job Qualifications:
1. Patience and compassion when working with residents and family members.
2. Strong attention to detail. 3. Ability to follow instructions for meal orders, nutritional needs and recipes to ensure residents and patients receive appropriate food. 4. Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
