REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO APPLY!

• 1-3yrs of die casting experience and/or operating machinery
• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• High School diploma or GED
• Demonstrate basic mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a drug screen
• Must own/be able to wear steel toed shoes for the duration of the shift

What does a Die Cast Operator do?

• Trimming, inspecting and packing castings produced in automatic cell
• Communicate problems and safety hazards to supervisor
• Assist Quality Control as needed to sort parts
• Perform general housekeeping in plant
• Startup and properly shut down die cast machine, trim press, robot and all ancillary equipment
• Move robot to home position and reset program (ability to place robot in manual most and manually manipulate robot using stick)
• Assist in set-up of die cast or trim tooling
• Perform minor maintenance work on machine using proper tools (polishing, clean parting line, etc.)
• Record and complete all documentation needed for work cell
• Record down time and scrap into Shot Scope system
• Inspect, identify and contain defective materials for quality review
• Read, understand and perform quality check requirements
• Perform initial start-up of die for first piece
• Relieve automatic casting operators or manual operators when required
• Understand basic operation of all die casting machines and related equipment
• Assist in changing plunger tip
