DevOps Engineer

Overview

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for developing, testing, deploying, monitoring and updating the application release processes and pipelines for the Veryable platform. They automate and integrate development and infrastructure processes so that we can deliver world-class software quickly to the manufacturing businesses and operators we serve in the Veryable marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability and performance of the platform through the implementation and maintenance of strong CI/CD practices, monitoring and logging systems, and incident response runbooks

• Plan and communicate the technical aspects of projects to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Document specifications and maintain development environments

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices

• Handle critical incidents on-call and participate in postmortem analysis and remediation efforts

• Maintain SLAs and communicate with stakeholders about platform uptime and performance

• Solve problems and make data-driven decisions

• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in the cloud space

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation

• 1+ years of experience implementing and maintaining strong CI/CD practices

• 1+ years of experience with monitoring and logging systems

• 1+ years of experience developing incident response runbooks

• 1+ years of experience documenting specifications and maintaining development environments

• 1+ years of experience in containerization and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Ability to plan and communicate technical aspects of projects to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience handling critical incidents on-call and participating in postmortem analysis and remediation efforts

• Ability to develop and maintain SLAs/SLOs and report on platform uptime and performance

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions

• Up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and best practices in the cloud space

Preferred Experience

• Experience with enterprise-scale APIs and databases

• Distributed systems experience

• Cloud Computing Certifications
