An established food manufacturer based in New Bedford, MA is seeking a talented and driven Customer Development Director to join their team.

Essential Duties:

• Identifying and targeting large customers (supermarkets, institutions, schools, etc.) to open new accounts
• Develop strong relationships with food-related supply chain and service companies
• Continue to increase business with existing customer base by promoting new products
• Strengthen brand awareness locally and nationally through targeted customer engagement
• Create and manage a sales budget to promote sales/awareness through use of marketing materials and promotions
• Partner with General Manager on potential customers leads and marketing ideas

Candidates must have:

• Professional communication is required (written and verbal)
• Strong previous experience with sales, merchandising, and new product development (food)
• Valid Driver's License and the ability to travel throughout New England as needed

Ideal Candidates will have:

• A passion for promoting food products and building relationships with customers
• Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task/meet deadlines effectively
• Must be professional yet persistent and be respectful when addressing to customer needs
