Friends4Life (F4L) is looking for responsible, caring, and compassionate direct support professionals to join our growing team! This job posting is for anyone interested in working in West Jordan day program Monday through Friday 9 AM - 3 PM.

Our day program is located in West Jordan. You, along with multiple other staff members, will focus on helping our clients have the best day every day. We provide genuine care, friendship, opportunity to achieve goals, and the chance to have meaningful days full of fun and connection. We encourage our clients to participate in community events and activities! We involve out clients in the activity planning to which gives them a voice and gets them excited to join in on the fun! Examples of activities you will be part of include bowling, movies, crafts, horseback riding, strolling the mall, seasonal events, and more.

• • Shifts are generally Monday to Friday, between 9 am to 3 pm (plus any additional transport time)

What You Can Expect:

No matter which position is filled, we are looking for someone who is highly dependable and has a passion for helping those with physical and/or mental disabilities live life to the fullest. Working with each of our clients, you will help foster a positive, encouraging, and stimulating environment.

Job Duties:

• Assisting individual clients in reaching their desired goals, as detailed in their Person-Centered Support Plan (PCSP)
• Assisting our clients to engage in fun and fulfilling activities at the facility as well as out in the community
• Assisting individual clients in meeting their daily needs, including (but not limited to) nutrition, hygiene, exercise, communication, socialization, (as necessary), etc
• Supervising clients with their medication
• Tracking/documenting client progress towards their goals
• Transporting clients to and from day program, home and all day program activities
  
• Helping maintain/clean day program facility
• Supporting and upholding client legal rights by observing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
• Obtain CPR/First Aid Certification
• Obtain Food Handlers Permit

Wage & Perks

• $12.50-13.00/hour

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and insurance
• Clean driving record
  
• Pass criminal background check
• Ability to move and stand for prolonged periods and frequently perform physically demanding tasks
