How You'll Make a Difference:

As a Data Architect you will define and communicate complex technical and operational solutions and translate complex topics into simple business language to drive the value alignment. Compare and position tradeoffs between private and hybrid cloud solutions. You will need to adopt and plan for implementation of Industry best practices for connected vehicle systems while providing domain expertise in various decisions ranging from first cut feature analysis, providing heads-up on technical challenges with Executives, sharing inputs integrated plan for feature rollout and informing on the feature adoption approach. The Data Architect role will also need to keep current technical specs and documentation on all system and data architecture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• This is a technical solution architecture and delivery leadership role which requires proven technical solution delivery leadership experience within the modern, cloud-based data and analytics solution domain
• This role involves mentoring teams of engineers and developers to design, implement, and grow a modern, cloud-based data lake, warehouse, reporting and analytics solutions
• This is a leadership role expected to provide guidance and governance Salesforce Developers, MuleSoft and ETL Developers, Software Engineers, and Data Warehouse Engineers
• Very strong communication, interaction and consulting skills are essential for success in this role, including the ability to collaborate and negotiate with other architects, communicate status to the project/program/scrum leads, as well as executive stakeholders
• This role requires strong understanding and experience working with solutions/architectures that employ AWS S3, Redshift, Glue, DynamoDB, Lambda, and EC2 service/functions, as well as Tableau’s BI/Visualization tooling, and includes providing architectural definition for the integration, implementation, and operational processes which make up the solution
• This role requires a firm understanding of the capabilities and specific considerations which must be taken into account throughout the architecture, implementation and operational phases of the solution/project
• This role includes consideration and guidance to support design and implementation of the DevSecOps and DataOps components of the solution and project
• This role will involve hands-on implementation, configuration, and coding, as well as does directing and guiding the technical resources that will perform the hands-on implementation, configuration, and coding
• Stay current on industry trends in data modeling, data architecture, and data movement
• This includes utilization of the current tools, protocols and data movement methods (i.e. XML, MQ), standards on data (i.e. ISO standards for common data types)
• Understand all Data Standards, communicate those standards to the Application Development groups, Technical Operations groups, and appropriate Business Community
• Present Data Architecture proposals and data models that comply with those standards
• Recommend proper locations for data, with replication plans, based on sizing, SLA, retention strategy, etc
• AWS Data Management, Automation, & Administration
• Define and Support enterprise system integration for features of the connected vehicle ecosystem
• Define standards for information collection and data storage architectures for connected vehicle entities
• Connected Vehicle solutions are built on Cloud based platforms, security of this platform from various external threats and attack vectors is key to preventing financial losses resulting from compliance violations, data breaches, Customer experience impact and resulting loss in brand value
• Lead the architecture discussions for integration with Partner systems aligning with global architecture principles and business requirements
• Technology adoption: Work on Proof of Concepts for adopting new cloud native apps and hybrid apps to resolve critical technical issues which can address business and technical goals
• Lead and review architectural discussions with various third-party products and Cloud providers
• Mentor and guide the business architects in arriving at right solution for various business requirements
• Work alongside the Delivery leads and provide status updates on architecture and design level approvals and blockers
• Collaborate with the application, data, and infrastructure architects on defining, designing and delivering cloud specific technical architectures, patterns, technical quality, risks and operations of cloud architecture solutions for cloud native applications and cloud migrated applications

Qualifications/Skills:

• 5+ year’s experience working as a technical architect within the Data Warehouse, ETL and BI Analytics domain
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years working as a solution architect within the Data Warehouse, ETL and BI Analytics domain
• 2+ year collective technical involvement with custom application development solutions
• Must have experience working within an Agile Scrum structure with the ability to seamlessly use Jira and Confluence for work articulation and tracking
• Hands-on experience in leading organizations through Cloud adoption and migration along with understanding of design standard methodologies for AWS (certification is preferred)
• You have a working knowledge of architecture frameworks
• Expertise with different architecture and design patterns and tools
• Consistent record of driving and leading large-scale architectural projects
• Experience in reviewing and selecting Technical and Applications Architectures solutions
• Experience of working with Technical and Application Architects
• Solid hands-on experience on software development life cycles
• Experience in Cloud transformation projects
• Expertise in tools such a Visio, LucidChart, SmartDraw, Gliffy, or Cacoo
• Knowledge and understanding of organizing and displaying Healthcare Data
