Position Description and Summary
· The Data Architect is primarily responsible for the Design and Standards for Database development and implementation. The incumbent leads the effort to perform technical design, implement technical standards, and define the software tools used in the implementation of data warehouse requirements to support business strategic objectives This includes strategies to measure/maintain data quality and development/maintenance of documentation and metadata. This individual leads database and data warehouse design, development, and testing, including data design, database architecture, data profiling and analysis, and metadata and master data management.
· They adhere to organization Software Development Life Cycle methodologies, including, scoping, estimating, participating in the development of project plans, and progress reporting.
· The Data Architect is responsible for maintaining architectural integrity of the databases, data warehouse and other data products maintained by the Information Technology division.
· They lead the conceptual, logical, semantic, and physical design efforts related to the database environment and ensures adherence to applicable standards for all data warehousing projects.
· The Data Architect will serve as an expert technical resource for data users within the overall team and client organizations.
You will be accountable for:
· Data Architecture & Design
· Identifies organization-wide initiatives and makes recommendations for data warehouse growth and integration for the enterprise.
· Leads the overall design of the data warehouse and works to ensure performance objectives are met.
· Design conceptual, logical, and physical database models for data warehouse applications.
· Oversee the evolving architecture of the data warehousing environment, either changing existing data models or developing new models to support new or expanded data content.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent work experience
· Experience with database development, design, and data modeling in a data warehouse environment. Includes the use of data modeling tools to effectively support a data warehouse environment. 6-8 years minimum
· Extensive technical expertise with
· Database and Data Warehouse best practices
· Ability to mentor and supervise other data design and management team members
· Demonstrated ability to produce high quality technical documentation
· Strong knowledge of systems development and project management Agile methodologies/processes
· Participation in Agile iterative planning
· Take a multi-view approach to data modeling and architecture and actively work with the team in following all agile principles; maintain agile architecture principles
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour

- AWS Certified Mandatory: 1 year (Preferred)
