We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team to protect our clients from cyberattacks by monitoring client systems and evaluating threats as they arise.
A Cybersecurity Analyst's responsibilities include reviewing computer networks and identifying any potential vulnerabilities, installing the necessary software to protect it from unauthorized access, reporting to our Incident Response Team, and documenting detections so that future breaches can be mitigated efficiently. Additionally, monitor security frameworks for unusual activity. In the event of a cyberattack, identify affected systems and collect data for incident analysis. Also, hunt for cyber threats, respond to security breaches, and analyze cyberattack data.
Ultimately, you will defend an organization's computer hardware, software, and other systems from theft, loss, and other cyber attacks.
Responsibilities:
- Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
- Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
- Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
- Stay current on Cybersecurity and Information Technology (IT) security trends and news.
- Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
- Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management.
Requirements and skills:
- Proven work experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role.
- Experience in information security or related field.
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity security standards/frameworks. (i.e., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001).
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
- CompTIA Security+.
- CompTIA Network+.
- CompTIA Linux+.
