About:

The Couch Tomato Bistro in Manayunk is currently seeing server assistants. This position seeks candidates with an interest in working towards the waiter/waitress position, however there are several paths that can be voluntarily applied for once you have a foot in the door!

Side Note: The Couch Tomato also has a program specifically targeted to develop “hungry” candidates to become successful managers, if management is something you prefer to work towards. You will learn all aspects of this business from the culinary side to the administrative side and everything in between. This program is designed to move at a pace that will educate you without rushing past the details of being a successful manager. As you progress, the responsibilities increase along with compensation incentives. Strong people skills, organizational skills and tremendous work ethic are considered mandatory for this position.

Your compensation is made up of a starting wage of roughly $15-17. That is made up of a starting hourly wage of $14-15 plus you will be part of the employee tip pool which pays out roughly $1-2/hr on average in addition. However, with longevity, cross training and performance you can grow that wage from there!

The company employs over 100 people, has multiple branches, and is growing. We offer a quick, casual service component with delivery and take-out. There is a casual bistro with 60+ seats with a full service bar and a bustling catering department that does over 500 catering orders per month. This 3-story restaurant is one of a kind.
