    POSITION OPENING: Woodbury High School
    CLASSIFICATION: Custodian
    LABOR GRADE: I
    WORK DAYS: Tuesday - Saturday
    HOURS: 2:30pm – 11:00pm T-F
    8:00am – 4:00pm Saturdays
    LICENSE PAY: Commensurate with level per contract language
    SHIFT PREMIUM: $.15/hr
    TUESDAY - THURSDAY STIPENED: $200 per Month



    POSITION SUMMARY:
    This position is responsible for performing custodial functions at School District facilities.

    PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
    • Perform regular custodial duties such as mopping, sweeping, dumping trash, cleaning glass, vacuuming, and changing light bulbs
    • Report maintenance and other needs to the Foreman/Lead Engineer in building
    • Lock and un-lock doors in building according to scheduled activities
    • Set-up and clean-up for special events
    • Shovel snow and operate snow removal equipment
    • Perform exterior cleaning duties such as sweeping sidewalks and picking up trash
    • Move furniture and equipment as needed
    • Respond to the needs of building occupants and users
    • Provide excellent customer service to building staff, students and other users.
    • Other duties as assigned

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
    Required:
    • Able to operate equipment associated with custodial operations
    • Able to follow oral and written directions
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
    • Prompt, regular and reliable attendance
    • Ability to perform routine computer functions, including the use of email, Internet navigation and Microsoft Word
    • Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.
    • Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.
