About this opportunity:
This role presents an opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to perform an instrumental role to ensure our credit to cash cycle is optimized!
The individual will draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing customer files, and contact delinquent accountholders to request payment. Creates varied reporting on the current status of customer accounts. Facilitates reporting and process improvements in the account receivable subject area while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
-
Build and maintain partnership with Billing, Customer Service, Financial Analysts, Marketing/Trading, Credit, Cashiers, as well as other internal partners to address customer issues, eliminate barriers to customer payment, and optimize cash conversion cycle

Interpret customer contract terms to ensure billing methods are accurate
-
Resolves customer billing issues through collaboration with cross-functional peers
-
Consolidate various reporting for use in manual billing and for distribution to customers
-
Responsible for maintaining processes to perform manual billing for a set of customers for rebills or entry clearing
-
Prepare accounting entries related to the financial system as needed

Prepare financial and performance management reports for various collaborators
-
Engage and improve on the Dashboard reporting to optimize the subject area
-
Analyze the credit to cash (C2C) data to identify areas of improvement to shorten the cash conversion cycle.

Engage with the appropriate stakeholders to assess improvement opportunities and implement change.

Facilitate weekly AR meetings and discussions to ensure optimal processes/practices are in place for efficient collection
Qualifications:
-
5+ years of dynamic experience in accounting, business / financial analysis
-
Sophisticated Excel & SAP skills would be an asset
-
Experience in oil and gas marketing/trading would be considered an asset

Resourceful cross-functional collaboration, and strategic agility
-
Highly analytical & results driven with strong financial competence

Excellent business writing and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate across business functions in an effective and professional manner

Ability to identify and resolve problems with minimal direct supervision

Ability to work in a team environment dealing with people from various fields to achieve goals
-
Exceptional skills in effectively leading multiple tasks, often under pressure and within rigid time constraints
