We are seeking a Full Time Credentialing Specialist within the Land O Lakes Central Business Office. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for maintaining the credentialing files for all FMC providers. The position requires knowledge of Federal, State, and Payer regulations. Candidates must have a background in physician credentialing and have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role required.

Keys to Success in this Role:
- Complete provider applications/reapplications
- Responds to requests from insurance companies for information/documentation
- Follows up with insurance companies and hospitals regarding status of physician applications
- Notifies insurance carriers when a physician leaves the practice
- Notifies insurance carriers when a new physician joins the practice who is already credentialed on a plan
- Processes changes of address for practice locations
- Maintain the NPI, CAQH databases with updates and quarterly re-attestations; Adds to Credentialing spreadsheet
- Assist Marketing in identifying all insurance plans by physician
- Communicate all activity with the Director of the physician office
- Perform incidental duties as needed
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and other applications
- Above average communication skills
- High level organizational skills
- High level multi-tasking skills
- Background in Physician Credentialing required
- 1 year of related experience required
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Normal physical ability; Sit for long periods of time
- Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Occupational Exposure:
- Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
