About This Role

Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers.

Responsibilities

Outlined below is what we see you doing at this point in time. We are a fast-growing company looking for people that are excited to grow along with us.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Owner of manufacturing and retail inventory cost accounting and internal control processes, ensure data integrity and provide quality analysis.

· Assist with standard cost analysis and development of procedure for regular standard cost updates.

· Create and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations related to month end close.

· Assist with streamlining inventory procedures and creating standard reporting with quality analysis.

· Understand cultivation to retail process and help develop cost efficiency reporting and analysis.

· Analyze cost absorption and perform variance analysis.

· Lead oversight of periodic inventory cycle and full physical counts and developing controls around counting and reconciliation procedures.

· Maintain wholesale and retail margin analysis and reconciliation.

· Assist with creation of internal control procedures and documentation and help ensure compliance.

· Support annual audit.

The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:

· A bachelor’s degree and a minimum 5+ years experience in Accounting or Finance, with two of those years in cost accounting.

· CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.

· Solid understanding of GAAP and cost / managerial accounting.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

· Experience with inventory costs accounting and control.

· You are systems savvy - comfortable with deep, data environments.

· Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

· Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· You thrive in a fluid, fast-paced environment.

· Ability to travel within the state of Michigan 25-40% of the time.
