Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary: This position will supervise and manage the continuity of laundry for the Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex (KJCC) residents and Topeka Correctional Facility (TCF).
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Organizes, plans, schedules, evaluates and reviews departmental policies, procedures, and systems in order to ensure that the work is completed in a timely manner within accepted OSHA, infection control and risk management standards, and ensure a smooth, continuous flow of all laundry and delivery processes.
Directly supervises 4 Storekeeper Specialists. Ensures that production levels and quality standards are met, assists with detecting and correcting problems.
Ensures compliance with established policy by subordinate staff. Recommends and/or initiates corrective action when deviations are discovered. Oversees the maintenance of the annual physical property inventory for the facility.
Identify use trends and levels of linen and supplies, evaluate new products and equipment, provide other information requested or considered helpful, provide detailed cost records of each sub-operation, report on employees’ time, and respond to special requests.
Qualifications
- Education: High diploma or GED
Licensing & Certification: Valid Driver's License
Minimum Qualifications: Six months of supervisory experience. Education may be subsituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Must be able to complete and pass background check and drug screen approved by the Office of Personnel Services.
