Job description
Primarily responsible for securing underwriting and other forms of funding for public radio and television operations. Assists in developing community-based relationships. Acts as WCMU’s principal representative in a designated territory. Assists as needed with on-air fundraising efforts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience that equates to four years.
One year of experience.
Demonstrated ability to function independently with minimum supervision.
Demonstrated ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with various constituencies.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to project a positive image.
Ability to perform the essential functions and requirements of the job.

Duties & Responsibilities
Secures underwriting contracts from business, organizations and other non-profits for both television and radio.
Develops relationships with community leaders and organizations to enhance the stations’ reputation and recognition as a valuable resource.
Secures funding for special events including sweepstakes and other fundraisers, as required.
Assists as needed in special events and other development efforts, including on-air pledge drives.
