Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Coordinator, Transfer Operations for the 2Nevada Transfer Center. This position is responsible for key projects that support student recruitment, advising, and retention. This includes the oversight of projects such as transfer agreements, implementation of a peer support program, and transfer student support. Additionally, the coordinator will oversee assessment, research, analysis, and evaluation of data from Navigate and assessment to help the continual improvement of transfer processes. Coordinators also provide traditional academic advising to prospective and new, transfer students on general advising and graduation requirements. The coordinator reports to the Director and helps with projects as assigned.
Duties include but are not limited to:

Maintain cross campus relationships that enable good communication and strong understanding of curriculum

Collaborate with Admissions and records to process course equivalencies transfer credits that includes AP, IB, CLEP, and military credits

Evaluate transfer course work from both domestic and international institutions and support

Work with other NSHE institutions with particular attention to assist with transfer student advising and transition

Report results of recruitment efforts to the 2NTC Director

Ensure department marketing tools such as brochures, websites, and social media are updated and relevant

Promote the College and its programs to high schools, community Colleges, and other organizations in the community

Represent 2NTC at campus-wide advisement meetings and other appropriate meetings as appointed

Train, supervise, and evaluate all student workers within the 2NTC
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and one year of related work experience
Related Experience: In a field related to academic advising or student services; program evaluation and assessment; and at least one year of supervision.

Experience developing new initiatives
Experience related to transfer processes
Experience with transfer equivalency process

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees
The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. The 2Nevada Transfer Center is a brand-new initiative from the University of Nevada, Reno. This office will be working to improve the experience of Transfer Students and ensure a smooth application and incoming process. This office will be a collaborative space that works closely with each college, admissions and records, as well as the office of prospective students to support the transition of transfer students. The initial portion of this role will be to set this office up and get it settled across campus.
