Job Summary:

Our Mexican restaurant is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Cook/Prep to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking various Mexican dishes with precision and care. This position requires knowledge of traditional Mexican cuisine and the ability to follow recipes and techniques to create delicious, authentic dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing ingredients for dishes according to recipe instructions and restaurant standards.

- Cooking and seasoning Mexican dishes.

- Maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils to ensure smooth operations.

- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment after use.

- Ensuring the timely completion of all food orders.

- Restocking ingredients and supplies as necessary.

- Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely preparation and service of dishes.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- At least two years of experience working as a cook, preferably in a Mexican restaurant.

- Strong knowledge of Mexican cuisine, cooking techniques, and ingredients.

- Ability to follow recipes and instructions with precision.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
