Content Strategist position. Based in Washington, D.C., this role will be responsible for defining and delivering content for a brand-new commercial client with deep roots in the Federal government. When kglobal presents its strategic vision for clients, content is quite often at the heart of what we do. We are looking for an individual who knows how to work within a strategic setup and has a passion for social media and technology; one who understands modern culture and how social platforms are now an integral part of our everyday lives. A successful candidate is creative, fast on their feet, and self-driven.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Communications + Strategy Lead, Copywriter, Events Coordinator, and clients to help define and co-create digital content strategies.
- Conceptualize ideas that are fresh and work collaboratively to bring these to life using the latest approaches to copy, art and code.
- Participate in the content writing aspect of creative projects by developing human-centric copy that deepens user and brand experience across all in-bound, out-bound and in-flow digital touch points including social, web, and digital outdoor media.
- Apply the latest digital trends to writing and content publishing.
- Understand our client’s brands and businesses, digital eco-systems, consumer trends and behaviors and define the best content approach to bring differentiation and impact to their digital projects.
- Be able to flex across different channel types and contexts and adopt the most relevant writing styles including long form copy to maximize content effectiveness.
- Engage in effectiveness measurement of digital content and work with clients and creative teams to continually improve content performance.
- Carry out quality assurance of all copy & content at key stages in project development and content creation.
- Work with the clients to pro-actively tell their story and help the team showcase their expertise and work through compelling, authoritative digital content.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Education/Experience
- 2-5 years’ experience as a Content Developer / Copywriter in a creative studio / software house or agency environment is preferred.
- Have an understanding of how to manage and deploy content on social channels.
- Be fluent in concepting and developing content for all digital channel types.
- Skills
- The ability to write in different styles, simultaneously bringing freshness and consistency to projects.
- Pro-active and collaborative approach with a ‘can do’ mindset and easygoing attitude.
- Cultural and creative curiosity and a knack for spotting trends and interpreting their relevance for digital brand projects.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills with the ability to present ideas, copy and content to clients and creative partners in different industries, specialisms and at different levels.
- Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to manage different concepts and projects simultaneously and maintain quality standards.
- Be open to positive and constructive feedback from mentors and peers to continually improve the quality of the work.
