Position: Construction Project Coordinator

Location: Chicago Northwest Suburbs (Barrington, Arlington Heights, Waukegan, etc.) must be able to go on site in those areas.

Duration: 6 month contract to permanent hire

Start Date: ASAP

Shift: M-F 7/8am-4/5pm

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or Associate degree
• 2+ years of experience of project management/coordination in the construction industry
• Experience communicating with vendors, engineers, procurement, etc.
• Strong communication skills via phone, email, and in person
• Ability to meet customers and team members on site in Chicago’s northwest suburbs

Pluses:

• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems
• Bachelors degree

Day to Day Details:

Insight Global’s large building automation client is looking for a Project Coordinator to join their Commercial HVAC Installation team. This team is responsible for coordinating the installation of commercial HVAC control systems for new clients or upgrading existing customers. The Install team partners with the HVAC Service team which is responsible for any maintenance on existing systems. The team is looking for a sharp individual to help customers in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. The Project Coordinator will meet customers and team members (engineers, Project Managers, Technicians, etc.) on site a few times a week to look at projects, and can work from home the rest of the time. This is a great opportunity to utilize their experience in the construction or HVAC industry and benefit from a flexible work schedule, or for someone looking to gain more experience in controls systems. The Project Coordinator will work with Project Managers and the HVAC Install Manager to assist with the following:

• Generate Purchase orders.
• Assist project managers in the procurement stage of projects.
• Process permits, communicate with building departments.
• Keep record of daily activity logs for projects.
• Assist and keep record of all necessary project documentation.
• Assist with commissioning, warranties and project closeouts.
• Assist construction manager with any necessary project requirements.
• Assist project manager with any necessary project requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
