Job Summary:
To coordinate and supervise in-house projects and provide assistance to architects and engineers in the design and construction of projects.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in construction technology or related field and one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration required: Valid Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structures. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, blueprints, drawing, and models. Organizational skills. Interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of constituencies. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Investigates work requests, provides estimates, and obtains quotes for the issuance of purchase orders and contracts.
- Assists architects and engineers during the design phase of projects; schedules the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
- Examines and inspects work progress to ensure that specifications are met and monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
- Reviews and approves applications for payment from vendors/contractors; ensures contract compliance.
- Reviews project shop drawings and other submittals.
- Prepares and updates project data; develops and processes change orders.
