ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome guests to restaurant and operate Open Table reservation system
• Maintain a courteous, efficient, and welcoming entrance to the dining room
• Allocate parties to servers throughout the dining room
• Carry out requests for personalized pre-ordered items
• Escort guests to tables and present menus
• Attend podium for entirety of shift, answering guest questions and monitoring guest waiting area
• When assigned, operate coat check service for guest belongings
• When assigned, assist in lobby management by verifying age of guests and performing security check of guest bags in lobby before admittance to Lounge
• Continual communication with members of dining room and management teams
• Elicit feedback from departing guests on their experience in order to continually improve the operation to increase guest base and maximize revenues
• Ensure CHIT instructions are hand delivered to appropriate server upon guest arrival
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Continually looking for ways to exceeds guest expectations

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in a similar position in an upscale environment is required
• Open Table experience preferred
• Must possess exemplary guest services skills and knowledge of restaurant operations
• Exhibits a professional appearance and maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor always
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Ability to relate to all levels of guests and management
• Must possess a strong team spirit
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to regularly lift and/or push up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
• Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist
• Ability to stand and walk for most of your shift
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
• Ability to work alone for long periods of time
