Title: Compliance Specialist

Reports To: Compliance Manager

Absolute Resolutions Corporation (ARC) is a growing organization and leading performer in the distressed consumer debt purchasing and collection industry. We purchase portfolios from top banks, retail organizations, and utility companies, to name just a few channels. We purchase these receivables at a discount to the original loan amount and use a variety of strategy techniques to liquidate the purchased portfolios over time. Our location is in Bloomington, MN.

Job Purpose:

ARC is currently seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our fast pace and growing team. This person will oversee and manage the day to day duties with regards to third party oversight of collection agency and law firm compliance with ARC’s work requirements. This role will be responsible for the oversight of all compliance components from a servicer management perspective. To succeed in this role, the candidate must be familiar with excel, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to communicate effectively with servicers. This person also must be very organized and efficient.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the performance of servicers against the work requirements of ARC
• Performing routine reviews of servicers’ policies and procedures in respect to various processes
• Conducting call monitoring and letter template reviews
• Utilizing Excel sufficiently to document and track servicers’ performance against compliance requirements
• Validating accuracy of data points on legal documents
• Communicating effectively with all levels of the business and with servicers in order to resolve concerns and enhance results
• Engaging in multiple specialty projects at one time when needed
• Traveling to vendors to conduct on-site reviews

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to quickly develop subject matter expertise across a broad spectrum of issues
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid business partnerships and negotiate solutions with vendors
• Experience with working for a collection law firm, debt purchaser, bank, or credit originator is preferred
