i.g. Burton Auto Group is looking to add an Outside Commercial Sales Associate to our team.

A successful candidate will maintain relationships with our existing customers while developing relationships with new customers to expand the territory, drive business and increase sales. As a member of our team, you will use your strong interpersonal skills to provide service and support to our customers as needed, which may include coordinating with other departments. The ideal candidate will have prior heavy-duty truck or commercial sales experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain excellent relationship with existing accounts and seek new business.
  • Analyze opportunities, identify key personnel, and develop new business relationships.
  • Develop a territory management plan to maximize time with customers.
  • Develop sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts.
  • Develop and conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations.
  • Prepare quotations, write sales orders, and process paperwork in accordance with established company policies.
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas as set by sales manager.
  • Maintain product knowledge of current and new models.
  • Utilize company resources to maintain accurate records of sales contacts, customer files, and sales activity information.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years commissioned industrial sales experience, preferably outside sales.
  • Broad knowledge of the outside sales process
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
  • Strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation.
  • Valid commercial driver’s license and good driving record
  • Commissioned business-to-business industrial sales experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Maryland’s western shore
