Our client, in the banking industry, is looking to add a Commercial Banking Officer to their team. This role will assist with a variety of commercial loans, perform analysis and annual reviews on new and existing credits. Responsibilities:

• Perform reviews and renewals of existing commercial client relationships.
• Collaborate with commercial banking specialists to ensure timely and responsive customer service
• Act as the first point of contact for assigned incoming and outgoing branch referrals
• Manage past due and maturing reports for assigned portfolios
• Produce problem asset reports for assigned portfolios
• Oversee assigned loan portfolios, ensuring growth while delivering a timely and courteous client experience
• Present detailed financial analyses to aid in making credit decisions and participate in team credit decisions
• Work Collaboratively on working with Commercial Bankers on credit displays and loan requests
• Provide support to Commercial Bankers as needed regarding loan structuring and credit display accuracy
• Analyze financial data for new, renewing, and existing loans via the preparation of spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and opinions for bank management.
• Assists with the company’s loan portfolio and ongoing risk management to minimize losses
• Serves as a resource to the Community Reinvestment Act Officer, gathering/reporting data from the CRA activities of the bank and advising management on ways to increase the bank’s CRA efforts.
• Act as a knowledgeable resource for credit policy and procedure interpretation for lending officers
• Assist with the distribution of industry trend information and related research
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education/work experience
• Five years of related work experience (relationship management or credit risk management)
• Demonstrated underwriting and documentation experience
• Experience in commercial or industrial real estate is a plus
• Up to date on consumer lending norms, policies, and procedures
• High proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective and professional oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively
• Self-directed with strong initiative
• Capable of working efficiently on various projects simultaneously
