Robert Half is in need of an ambitious and articulate REMOTE Collections Specialist. This Collections Specialist role will be based in the Carol Stream, Illinois region and will be a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity. - Act as mediator in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
- Attend to inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
- Document all customer payments to the right reports
- Accurately process bankruptcy filings when received
- Direct all billing and reporting activities in accordance to deadlines
- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment
- Process Payments
- Comply with all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations
- Oversee and update customer files to ensure data accuracy
- Be able to effectively analyze and make decisions on customer accounts
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
- B2B collections experience
- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
- 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience
- Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired
