Highlands Pathology Consultants is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist to join our team. The Medical Coding Specialist is a full-time position with a Monday – Friday schedule. The position is in-person and works from our administrative and billing offices in Blountville, TN.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Read pathology reports and assign appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes
• Enter patient billing, insurance, and charge information into billing system
• Customer service with patients, client offices, and employees in a professional manner

Qualifications:

• Coding experience required, AAPC certification preferred
• Experience in a medical billing office
• Excellent computer skills – accuracy and efficiency a must
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Detail oriented
• Good oral and written communication skills
