Under the direction of the Planning and Zoning Manager, the Code compliance Clerk is responsible for entering daily/monthly transactions regarding code compliance, mowing, brush removal, and all requests taken from the GOVQA website. Assists customers with various needs both in person and by telephone. Provides support to Inspections Department with permitting and contractor registration. Also provides administrative support to the Engineering Department when requested.

Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and a minimum of one year clerical experience. Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Bilingual preferred. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to interact with the general public on a daily basis in a pleasant, courteous, and professional manner creating a positive public relations image at all times. Must be registered or have the ability to obtain registration as a Notary Public in the State of Texas. Must have and maintain a valid Texas Driver's License. Must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Punctuality and regular attendance are required. Must satisfactorily complete a one-year probation period.
