Day in the Life:
- Safety FIRST
- Perform CNC set-up efficiently and on time.
- Documents actions & scrap
- Setups & offsets with a variety of machinery including mills, lathes and robots
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first article, sample workpieces, and adhering to quality standards.
- Maintains specifications by troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools, adhering to quality standards
- Maintains equipment by completing PM's
- Performs quality inspections by working with calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, height stands, indicators etc.
Here's what you need to know:
- Set up and operation of CNC equipment & prints reading
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
